When Dennis L. Martire began at the Laborers’ International Union of North America, he had little idea that he’d spend the next three decades with the organization. But Dennis Martire has done just that; he’s worked for the organization and its mid-Atlantic region since 1990. He began humbly just four years after graduation from West Virginia Wesleyan College as LIUNA’s international representative for the jurisdictional disputes department. He continued through the ranks of the professional group. He was elected to his current post of regional manager and vice president for the mid-Atlantic area in 2002. He’s held the role since then with the same commitment and dedication as day one more than 30 years ago.
