Dennis L. Martire: A Pittsburgh Native and Advocate for Workers’ Rights

Born in 1964, Dennis L. Martire proudly hails from the Pittsburgh region of Pennsylvania and is an active member of the local union #1058. His educational journey led him to Wesleyan College in nearby West Virginia, where he graduated in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science degree in government.

Dennis L. Martire leveraged his education to embark on a remarkable 30-year career with the Laborers’ International Union of North America (LIUNA). His journey within LIUNA began in 1990 when he joined as an international representative in the jurisdictional disputes department. Over the years, his dedication and commitment to the cause propelled him through the ranks of LIUNA. He served in pivotal roles such as assistant director and director of the Laborers’ Construction Department, honing his expertise in the field.

In the year 2000, Martire assumed the role of Assistant Regional Manager for the Mid-Atlantic area, further deepening his connection to the region. A mere two years later, in 2002, he was elected to the position he continues to hold today—Vice President and Regional Manager for the Mid-Atlantic. With more than three decades of experience in the region where he was raised and has worked tirelessly, Dennis L. Martire is effecting meaningful changes through LIUNA, championing the rights and well-being of his fellow workers and neighbors. His enduring commitment to the cause exemplifies his dedication to improving the lives of workers throughout the Mid-Atlantic United States.
